Home for the Holidays Fundraiser
Help us to open a Home this Holiday season for young women
aging out of foster care in PA who need peace, comfort and joy!
I love sitting by my Christmas tree in the glow of the lights, under a warm fuzzy blanket with a cup of hot chocolate warming my hands and watching cheesy Christmas movies with my family. It's everywhere- in songs, movies, books- everyone wants to get home for the holidays. It brings up cozy memories and feelings of peace, joy, nostalgia and comfort. But young women aging out of foster care don't have a family home to return to where they can spend the holidays or where they have those feelings.

Violet (Name changed for anonymity) is a young lady I've been mentoring who's changed "homes" four times this year. She has had to couch surf from time to time. She is currently in a living situation where she feels very uncomfortable, has very little support and is targeted by other "family members," one of whom recently stole her credit card, charged hundreds of dollars to it, then threw it out. She lives in constant fear and emotional turmoil. She can't sleep. She has no peace or joy. Young women like Violet need this home. Please help us to provide peace, stability and hope to Violet and others like her.
Young women aging out of foster care need help and support. They've had so much instability in their young lives and they face so many challenges. Many of these young ladies deal with homelessness, food insecurity, unemployment, early pregnancy and many even become victims of sex trafficking. They need a stable home, where they know they are loved and cared for and they can begin to heal, trust and dream. Your donation will help us to open this home and surround these girls with emotional and spiritual support, love, practical help and hope for the future.

You can help us give these young ladies a home for the holidays and beyond by making a one- time donation or starting a monthly donation in any amount you would like, or you can sponsor a room with these amount suggestions so we can keep our home stocked for the next year. Thanks to a donation grant we recently received, we are almost ready to go house shopping! We just need some donors who will help with our monthly expenses.
